Bryan Starbuck

Bryan Starbuck, aka “Starboy”, is a degreed Mechanical Engineer and works as an Engineering Manager in the nuclear power industry in Jackson, MS (don’t worry - he doesn’t glow green). He is originally from North Carolina and grew up swimming on the swim team where he was the captain of the swim team in high school. He won conference titles in freestyle and anchored both the medley and freestyle relay teams. Additionally he qualified for the NC state finals in 2004. He has completed one Ironman and 3x 70.3 distance races, with countless local sprint distance races in between. After the original focus of finishing a full Ironman, he moves towards personally finding the podium in the 70.3 distance and coaching his athletes to make their dreams a reality.

Unlike most triathletes swimming is the strongest leg of the three sports followed by running. Utilizing his engineering background, data analysis knowledge, and personal experiences he intends to help train and prepare athletes to take on their dreams and make them reality. Specifically specializing in swimming techniques, underwater video analysis and personal instruction he is able to take beginner swimmers from the pool to the open water Ironman swims.
